RE: FY 2024 Community Development Program Purchase Order Amendment

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Staff is requesting approval to authorize an amendment to the Purchase Order approved through Resolution #2023-448 for budgeted Genesee County Home Improvement Program contractor costs during FY 2024.
BACKGROUND:
The purchase order covers costs for the following approved contractors: Boyle Constructors, Inc.; Bedrock Building, Inc.; Csiki Builders, LLC; CTI & Associates; Cymex, LLC; Faithful Pillars, LLC., Fitch Builders, LLC. and Karma Environmental Solutions, LLC.
DISCUSSION:
The amendment is being requested to: 1) Allocate $150,000 in additional funds to the Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CD-CV-HIP) purchase order charged to GL Account #2336-731.00-866.239 for a new total of $230,000. 2) Request approval to rollover ongoing contracts and funds to future fiscal years until they are complete.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There will be no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CD-CV-HIP) funding is in the current budget.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
There will be no impact on Facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There will be no impact on Technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CD-CV-HIP) funds help Genesee County meet its priority of promoting healthy, livable, and safe communities by funding well, septic, roof, and furnace replacements for eligible Genesee County residents through the Urgent Repair Program.
