RE: ARPA Funding Allocation Approval - Community Projects

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Requesting approval for the allocation of $1,680,000 of American Rescue Plan Act funding for six eligible community projects including the Clio Road Collaboration Plan, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, GCJJC demolition activities, Thompson Road Waterline Improvements, Flint Township Trail Extension and Mott Policing Grant Match.
BACKGROUND:
Proposed projects, costs, and account numbers are as follows:
DISCUSSION:
GCMPC staff will work with each organization to ensure all funds are allocated to ARPA eligible project costs.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
These projects will have no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
These projects will be funded by Genesee County American Rescue Plan Act funding and will have no impact on the general fund.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
There will be no impact on County facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There will be no impact on County technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
These projects conform to the Genesee County Priority of Healthy, Livable, and Safe communities. These projects will provide infrastructure improvements, economic development planning, and food assistance which all contribute to health, livability, and safety in the County.
