RE: ARPA Funding Allocation Approval - City of Clio Water Line Replacement

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Requesting approval for the allocation of $200,000 of American Rescue Plan Act funding for the City of Clio Water Line Replacement project. Funding will be allocated to account number 1010-640.02-899.063.
BACKGROUND:
City of Clio intends to replace lead water lines. This project will cover eligible costs associated with that project.
DISCUSSION:
GCMPC staff will work with the City of Clio to identify ARPA eligible costs related to the replacement.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
This project will have no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
This project will be funded by American Rescue Plan Act funding. This project has no impact on the general fund.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
This project will have no impact on County facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
This project will have no impact on County technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
This project conforms to the Genesee County Priority of Healthy, Livable, and Safe communities. The replacement of lead water lines will improve the health outcomes for residents.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Director of Planning to authorize approval of an allocation of $200,000.00 of Genesee County American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding from account 1010-640.02-899.063 to assist in the costs for the City of Clio Water Line replacement project, with no additional general fund appropriation needed, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documentation being on file with the official records of the February 7, 2024 meeting...
