BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of Purchase order to Freeway Sports not to exceed $50,200.00 from account 1010-316.01-978.00 this funding is a grant award no general fund dollars used. This Purchase had an RFP done on 2/15/2024 Freeway Sports chosen as the winner due to lower cost and local business.
BACKGROUND:
The Sheriff’s Office patrols the waterways in Genesee County. This boat will allow the Marine Patrol Deputies to increase their presence on the waterways.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Office of Genesee County Sheriff to authorize a Purchase Order to Freeway Sports Center, in an amount not to exceed $50,200.00 in grant funds, with no general fund appropriation required, to be paid from account 1010-316.01-978.000, for the purchase of a Polarkraft 210 Bay Pro boat to be used by the Marine Division to patrol the waterways within Genesee County, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the March 6, 2024 meeting of the Governmental Operations Committee of this Board).
