Approval of Purchase Order to Angel Armor to purchase Premium IIIA ballistic vest with trauma plates not to exceed $34,866.00. Paid from Account 1010-316.01-978.000.
BACKGROUND:
These ballistic vests are for the Sheriff’s Office Containment Team. The Containment Team conducts hi-risk search warrants, hostage negotiations, and respond to active shooters. This vest and distributor were selected as the provider through the current Collective Bargaining Agreement. This funding is a grant award no general fund dollars used.

BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Office of Genesee County Sheriff to authorize a Purchase Order to Angel Armor to purchase Premium IIIA ballistic vests with trauma plates, in an amount not to exceed $34,866.00 to be paid with grant funds from account 1010-316.01-978.000, with no general fund appropriation required, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the October 16, 2024 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board).
