BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval to purchase a Chevrolet Silverado for the Sheriff’s Office. This is a grant funded purchase and will be paid for out of account #1010-316.01-978.000.
BACKGROUND:
The Sheriff’s Office received a grant to purchase equipment for the Sheriff’s Office. This grant covers the cost of this purchase. This truck will be used to transport personnel, equipment, and resources to areas otherwise inaccessible during an emergency.
DISCUSSION:
Pricing for this purchase will be consistent with the State of Michigan cooperative agreement and will be priced by General Motors at the point of order.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Office of Genesee County Sheriff to authorize a Purchase Order to Berger Chevrolet to purchase a Chevrolet Silverado at a cost to be determined by General Motors at the point of order consistent with the State of Michigan cooperative agreement, said purchase to be paid from account 1010-316.01-978.000, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request being on file with the official records of the June 5, 2024 meeting of the Governmental Operations Committee of this Board).
