RE: Parks Request to Award ITB #24-373 - Universally Accessible Launch on Flint River

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Genesee County Parks and Recreation staff requests the approval to award ITB #24-373 for Engineering and Construction Management Services for Development of a Universally Accessible Launch on the Flint River at the Confluence of Swartz Creek to ROWE Professional Services, for a total amount not to exceed $41,500.00.
BACKGROUND:
The Invitation to Bid was advertised by the Genesee County Purchasing Department. Proposals were received until May 8, 2024. Two vendors submitted proposals. Proposals were reviewed by the Parks Director, Park Superintendent, Director of Facilities Management, and the FRWC Executive Director.
DISCUSSION:
ROWE Professional Services was the low bid, $155,000.00 less than the second bid. Parks has experience with ROWE Professional Services and is confident in their ability to successfully manage the project.

IMPACT ON BUDGET:
NO USE OF GENERAL FUND. Fully reimbursed by MNRTF grant and FRWC grant.
