BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of an increased grant award for the State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) Office of Highway Safety Planning (OHSP) grant in the amount of $6,600.
BACKGROUND:
Genesee County approved and accepted the original OHSP grant of $28,000 for FY2024 through resolution 2023-801. The OHSP grant helps support the operation of Genesee County Sobriety Court (GCSC).
DISCUSSION:
67th District Court is requesting approval to accept an additional grant amount from the SCAO OHSP grant increasing the grant award for FY2024 from $28,000 to $34,600. The additional funds will be used for drug testing for GCSC participants.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
None
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no impact on the general fund. Grant funds will increase account 2927-286.02 by $6,600 and will be expended on services that will support the operation of Genesee County Sobriety Court.

CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
The OHSP grant funds advance the priority of safe communities by enhancing public safety by providing the tools, resources, and support necessary for alcohol-dependent offenders to attain and maintain sobriety.
