BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) requests authorization to submit a Head Start and GCCARD Nutrition Services food proposal and agreement to the Michigan Department of Education, Child and Adult Care Food Program for $956,519.67 and reimbursement and budgetary authorization to fund this expenditure driven grant to be used for the 2024-2025 school year from this committee and recommendation of acceptance by the full Genesee County Board of Commissioners at their next regularly scheduled meeting.

The amount is an estimated figure based on 91,400 breakfasts, lunches, and snacks to be served for the 2024-2025 school year. If the numbers are increased or reduced, the budget amount will be adjusted. GCCARD Nutrition Services serves breakfast, lunch, and snacks for students at at-risk sites, totaling $14,226.87.
