BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval to amend the contract with Jillian Koterba and extend the contract to provide Nurse Practitioner services for the GCHD Family Planning program.
BACKGROUND:
Since June 2024, Jillian Koterba has provided high quality reproductive care at low or no-cost to women, men and teens for the GCHD Family Planning program. Family Planning is a public health service that helps individuals and families to plan for their desired family size and spacing of children or to prevent an undesired pregnancy. A mid-level provider, such as a Nurse Practitioner, is required by the Family Program to provide the core Family Planning services. These include a broad range of acceptable and effective medically approved family planning methods and services (including pregnancy testing and counseling; assistance to achieve pregnancy; basic infertility services; STI services; preconception health services; and adolescent-friendly health services); and related preventive health services, such as breast and cervical cancer screening.
DISCUSSION:
This contract is to partner with Jillian Koterba to maintain essential mid-level provider services in GCHD's Family Planning program. This contract is already budgeted for in the next fiscal year. No additional county appropriation is needed.

Costs for this contract are budgeted from the account 2210-611.01-801.000 and are not to exceed $115,000. No additional county appropriation is needed.
