BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize and approve a Purchase Order for IDEXX in the amount of $45,000.00 to provide testing supplies and diagnose laboratory results.
BACKGROUND:
Genesee County Animal Control tests the stray population upon intake and while housed in the shelter to diagnose the welfare of animal health to decrease the infectious carried diseases in Genesee County's stray population. Animal Control takes in animals from all walks of life under many circumstances. Idexx provides testing equipment, lab results and diagnoses which aids in quick response time reducing the effects of outbreaks and infectious diseases within the shelter.
