BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) requests authorization from this committee to accept and expend the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) 25 - 2025 award from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) in an amount not to exceed $1,251,347.00, with a recommendation of approval by the full Genesee County Board of Commissioners at their next regularly scheduled meeting.
BACKGROUND:
GCCARD has received an award notice from MDHHS for the CSBG 25 - 2025 in an amount not to exceed $1,251,347.00 to commence October 1, 2024, and continue through September 30, 2025. CSBG 25-2025 will offer supplemental funding to GCCARD's Nutrition Services, USDA Supplemental Food, and Neighborhood Services Center programs. The utilization of these funds will allow GCCARD to cover administrative and direct program costs. Direct program funds will include utility, housing, and property tax assistance, as well as hearing aid services for eligible Genesee County residents.

There will be no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
