BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) requests authorization from this committee to obtain a Purchase Order (PO) for Genesee Packaging, Inc. not to exceed $44,000.00 for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-2025, with a recommendation of approval by the full Genesee County Board of Commissioners at their next regularly scheduled meeting.
BACKGROUND:
GCCARD's USDA Supplemental Food Program provides supplemental food boxes to eligible seniors monthly through the Commodities Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and individuals and families facing a food crisis quarterly through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
DISCUSSION:
This PO will be utilized by GCCARD's USDA Supplemental Food Program for the provision of supplemental food boxes to eligible seniors monthly through CSFP and individuals and families facing a food crisis quarterly through TEFAP.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There will be no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Funds for this PO are to be allocated as follows: $13,200.00 to fund number 2759-697.30-801.002 and $30,800.00 to fund number 2757-697.30-801.002. No General Fund appropriation is required for this request.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
There will be no impact on Facilities and Maintenance.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There will be no impact on IT.
