BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of Genesee County's annual payments to area hospitals for uncompensated care.
BACKGROUND:
Annually, Genesee County provides payment to three local hospitals to offset the cost of uncompensated care.
DISCUSSION:
In the current fiscal year, the Board budgeted $1,500,000 for payments to local hospitals. This funding is split to provide payment equal to each hospital's percentage of the total uncompensated care within Genesee County. As we finalize the fiscal year, the three local hospitals are submitting for payment for previous years uncompensated care. Approval of this resolution will authorize payments not to exceed the budgeted amount.

There is no impact on HR.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
These payments are budgeted and will be paid from Genesee County's Uninsured Health Services Millage account 2230-255.01-835.007.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
There are no impacts on Facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There is no impact on Technology.
