BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County courts are respectfully requesting approval of a contract with A2J Tech PBC ("A2J") for the annual maintenance, support, software updates, and other related services necessary for the optimal performance of the seven (7) legal kiosks installed in the Legal Resource Center, located currently in on the 1st Floor of the Courthouse and will be moved to the law library space on the second floor of the Genesee County Courthouse once renovations have completed.
BACKGROUND:
The original contract with A2J, as approved by Reso 2024-135, contained provisions regarding the performance of annual maintenance, support, software updates, and other related services necessary for the optimal performance of the seven (7) legal kiosks installed in the Legal Resource Center, as well as the budget for such items. However, the original contract specified a completion date of August 30, 2024 for the kiosks themselves without reference to the term for the annual items. This contract clarifies the term for the annual items and includes a 3-year extension, at a cost not to exceed $24,350.00 for the initial term of the contract. The approved Legal Resource Center budget for fiscal year 2025 incorporated this cost.
