BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of the appointment of Gary Goetzinger to the Genesee County Parks & Recreation Commission; this is a partial term appointment through 01/01/2026
BACKGROUND:
During the most recent session of the Board of County Commissioners, former Commissioner Michelle Davis was appointed to serve on Genesee County's Parks & Recreation Commission in her capacity as a county commissioner. Former Commissioner Davis was not reelected. Prospective appointees to the Parks & Recreation Commission are recommended by the Board Chairperson for consideration by the full Board.
DISCUSSION:
Chairman Loyd is recommending the appointment of Commissioner Gary Goetzinger to serve the remaining term of former Commissioner Michelle Davis. The expiration of that term is 01/01/2026.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
WHEREAS, the Genesee County Board of County Commissioners ("this Board") is authorized to appoint a member to the Genesee County Parks & Recreation Commission when an appointment term ends or a vacancy occurs; and
