BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a purchase order to MLive Media Group (Advanced Local Holdings) in an amount not to exceed $24,000, for the 26/27 fiscal year
BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this purchase is for statutorily required notices of elections and other county requirements. The request is going to the board as the aggregate spend for MLive across all county departments has exceeded $30,000.
DISCUSSION:
Michigan Election law requires election dates, times, locations, and the public accuracy testing, County Budget hearings and other business of county to be publicly noticed in a newspaper of general circulation of our community. This covers all anticipated postings for the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Clerk-Register to authorize an expenditure, in the form of a purchase order to MLive Media Group or other appropriate local newspaper, for election and other county business notices and publications for the 26/27 fiscal year, in an amount not to exceed $24,000.00 to be paid from account 1010-215-900.008, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the meeting of the Governmental Operations Committee of this Board).
