BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval to purchase a Chevrolet Blazer that will be assigned as a detective vehicle for Operation Arrowhead.
BACKGROUND:
Operation Arrowhead is a grant partnership between the County, The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Mott Community College, and the University of Michigan to provide police services in vital areas in the City of Flint. During this last year the Sheriff’s Office assigned a full-time detective to the grant.
DISCUSSION:
Pricing for this purchase will be consistent with the State of Michigan cooperative agreement and will be priced by General Motors at the point of order.

There is no General Fund that will be used for this purchase. This purchase will be paid for out of this current year’s grant (Account # 2861-315.00-978.000).

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Office of Genesee County Sheriff to authorize a Purchase Order for a Chevrolet Blazer to be assigned as the vehicle to be used by the detective assigned to Operation Arrowhead, said purchase to be paid from account 2861-315.00-978.000, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documentation being on file with the official records of the May 15, 2024 meeting of the Public Works Committee of this Board), and the Chief Financial Officer is directed to record the attached budget amendment.
