BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval to enter a PO to vendor Bob Barker for the purchase of 6 tables for the IGNITE program w/in the Jail; per their provided quote #EST0177937 dated 7/14/2026 to be paid from I.G.N.I.T.E. grant funds, 2642-351.01-752.000 in the amount of $7197.00.
BACKGROUND:
Bob Barker is a vendor which participates in several cooperative purchasing agreements such as: NASPO ValuePoint, OMNIA, BuyBoard, MidDeal and other state-specific cooperative purchasing groups.
DISCUSSION:
A similar purchase request was approved earlier this year, Doc Review File 24-821. Per Purchasing, the vendor is at an aggregate expense of around $62,000.00.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Office of Genesee County Sheriff to authorize an expenditure, in the form of a purchase order to vendor Bob Barker for the purchase of 6 tables for the IGNITE program w/in the Jail, in the amount of $7,197.00 to be paid from I.G.N.I.T.E. grant funds account 2642-351.01-752.000, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the September 16, 2026 meeting of the Governmental Operations Committee of this Board).
