BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Various departments request authorization to obtain purchase orders (PO) for Home Depot in an amount not to exceed $243,000.00 for Fiscal Year 2027. These departments include: Facilities and Operations, GCCARD, and Park and Recreation.
BACKGROUND:
Home Depot is a current vendor used by aforementioned departments to purchase various supplies, repair parts, and other miscellaneous items needed to maintain facilities. The PO’s requested will be authorized from the period of October 1, 2026 - September 30, 2027.
DISCUSSION:
As previously stated, various departments procure miscellaneous items from Home Depot for the operation of their areas. Home Depot has been vetted by the State of Michigan and has been issued a cooperative agreement under contract # 071B7700159 to procure these requested items.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by Purchasing Administrator to issue purchase orders to Home Depot, in a total amount not to exceed $243,000.00, for various purchases of parts and supplies as needed over the course of the FYE 2027 for Facilities and Operations, GCCARD, and Parks and Recreation, to be paid from the appropriate account numbers listed on the attachment to the memorandum request, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the September 16, 2026 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board).
