Approval of an agreement between Genesee County and Sentinel Technologies, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $26,760.96
BACKGROUND:
Sentinel provides engineering support to the IT network team for any issues they need assistance with as well as monitoring services to alert the department of any issues they discover. This agreement is for 1 year.
DISCUSSION:
As the results for RFP 26-483, Sentinel Technologies Inc., was the lowest bidder for the Annual Managed Network Services Agreement, to provide technical support services for Genesee County’s core network in an amount not to exceed $26,760.96.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There is no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
This is a budgeted expense for the 12-month agreement to be paid out of the following account 1010-228.01-801.004, billed at $2,230.08 per month.

There is no impact on Facilities.

CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
This renewal supports the County priority of Long-Term Financial Stability by providing a consistent managed network support model that helps control costs and reduce unexpected expenses. Continued support helps avoid emergency fixes, extended downtime, and unplanned replacement costs while extending the useful life of existing network systems and engineering tools. This approach protects prior County investments and supports predictable budgeting for essential technology services.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Chief Information Officer to authorize the one-year agreement between Genesee County and Sentinel Technologies, Inc., at a total cost not to exceed $26,760.96 to be paid from account 1010-228.01-801.004, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the July 15, 2026 meeting of the Public Works Committee of this Board), and the Chairperson of this Board is authorized to execute any necessary contract documents on behalf of Genesee County.
