BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a purchase order for Scioto Services in an amount of $153,166.36 for services from 1/1/25-4/7/25. 

BACKGROUND:
Previous RES#2024-238 allowed for us to extend the janitorial contract with Scioto Services for a month-to-month basis lasting no longer than December 2024 to allow the county to accurately identify the size and scope of services to create an advertisement for an RFP based on what our new needs will be.

DISCUSSION:
Our contract was up in December with Scioto but they have continued to work month to month with us during the RFP bidding and transition phase. We have invoices from January to current that will need to be paid. The new vendor will be starting effective 4/7/25.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:

BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Facilities and Operations Director to authorize a purchase order to provide janitorial services at the Administration Building, County Courthouse, McCree Building, County Jail, and other County buildings as necessary, at a total cost not to exceed $153,166.36 to be funded as follows:

1010-267.00.802.000- Janitorial Services McCree Building
                                                               $44,242.10
1010-309.00-802.000- Janitorial Services Jail

is approved (a copy of the memorandum request, contact amendment, and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the March 5, 2025 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board), and the Chairperson of this Board is authorized to execute amended contract on behalf of Genesee County.
