Approve and sign contract
BACKGROUND:
Campaign Finance US is our longstanding vendor for maintaining campaign finance records.
DISCUSSION:
We are continuing to work with them and expand the scope of service to include online campaign finance reporting for candidates. This updated contract reflects those new costs
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There is no Direct impact on Human Resources
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
This is a budgeted expense from Elections Software account 1010-215.00-933.001 and will be paid as follows:
FYE 2024-January 2024 - September 2024=$9,000
FYE 2025-October 2024-September 2025= $12,000
FYE 2026-October 2025-September 2026=$12,000
FYE 2027-October 2026-December 2026=$3,000

There is no Direct impact on Facilities
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
This is a current online software that our office continues to use and is linked on our website. There will be no new or additional impact on IT.

This item helps streamline services for the residents of Genesee County and promotes transparent information that directly aligns with the goal of a healthy, livable, and safe communities. We are being fiscally responsible in this decision and working toward long term financial stability.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Genesee County Clerk/Register to authorize entering into a professional services contract between Genesee County and Campaign Finance US, whereby the contractor will continue maintain campaign finance records, for a term commencing January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2025, with an option of an annual renewal, in an amount of $12,000 per contract year to be paid from account 1010-215.00-933.001, $9,000 for FYE 2024, $12,000 for both FYE 2025 and FYE 2026, and $3,000 for FYE 2027, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documentation being on file with the official records if the February 21, 2024 meeting of the Governmental Operations Committee of this Board), and the Chairperson of this Board is authorized to execute the contract on behalf of Genesee County.
