BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Friend of the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office respectfully request approval to enter into the IV-D Cooperative Reimbursement Agreement with the State of Michigan - Office of Child Support and accept the grant funding.
BACKGROUND:
The Friend of the Court and Prosecutor’s Office Family Support Division contracts with the State of Michigan Office of Child Support under the IV-D Cooperative Reimbursement grant to receive 66% reimbursement from the Federal government for child support services. This grant is responsible for most of the funding for the Friend of the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office Family Support Division. The agreement is the standard contract for all IV-D agencies across the State of Michigan.
DISCUSSION:
The IV-D Cooperative Reimbursement Program contract includes reimbursement as shown in attachment for the following Fiscal Years: 
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
Staff are required to complete mandatory training as part of this contract. No additional impact.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
This Cooperative Reimbursement grant drives the budget for the Friend of the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office Family Support Division for the next several fiscal years.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
No impact.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
IT security audits are required as part of this contract, as well as compliance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services security rules.
IMPACT ON INDIRECT COSTS:
No impact.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Friend of the Court to enter into the IV-D Cooperative Reimbursement Program (Contract Number: CSFOC24-25001) contract between Genesee County and the State of Michigan - Office of Child Support, for the term commencing October 1, 2023, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and support documentation being on file with the official records of the September 6, 2023 meeting of the Government Operations Committee of this Board), and the Chairperson of this Board is authorized to execute the contract on behalf of Genesee County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office Family Support Division to enter into the IV-D Cooperative Reimbursement Program (Contract Number: CSPA24-25001) contract between Genesee County and the State of Michigan - Office of Child Support, for the term commencing October 1, 2023, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and support documentation being on file with the official records of the September 6, 2023 meeting of the Government Operations Committee of this Board), and the Chairperson of this Board and the Prosecuting Attorney are authorized to execute the contract on behalf of Genesee County.
