RE: Budget Amendment FY 2022-2023

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Circuit Court is requesting the attached budget amendments to update the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023.
BACKGROUND:
This request is for approval for various budget line transfers throughout Circuit Court departments. These transfers address budget changes needed to fully align with current fiscal year activities. No additional general fund appropriation is needed.
DISCUSSION:
This request is to better align the Circuit Court's original budget requests with actual expenses for this Fiscal Year. Changes are driven from variations from planned vs actual activity. No additional general fund appropriation is needed.

- Reallocate Reimbursement salary and fringes to correspond with projected FY 22/23 expenses
- Adjust Court Security budget to correspond with projected FY 22/23 expenses
-Adjustment to Family and Circuit budgets to align with current fiscal year activities
-Adjustment to Raise the Age Grant salary and fringes to align with current grant activities.
- Adjustment to Family Dependency and Byrne Jag Drug Court Grants to align with current grant activities
-Adjustment to various Child Care Fund lines to align budget with current grant activities

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Director of Court Finance to authorize a budget amendment for multiple Court accounts, as detailed in the memorandum request, a copy of which is on file with the official records of the September 6, 2023 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board, is approved, and the Chief Financial Officer is directed, as necessary, to amend the line items.
