BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Genesee County Parks and Recreation staff requests the approval of a third amendment to the Wade Trim contract, increasing the total contract amount to $5,183,900.00, in support of the Flint Riverfront Restoration Project.
BACKGROUND:
RFP #20-212 was awarded to Wade Trim, Inc. for project management of the Flint Riverfront Restoration Project. Two amendments to the contract were approved, following refinement of services and request for additional services related to the scope of the project.
Progressing, following refinement of the scope of services of the project, additional services items have been identified, requesting an amendment to the total contract amount from $4,089,400.00 to $5,183,900.00, a $1,094,500.00 increase.
DISCUSSION:
Overview of additional services include design contingency, grant support and administration, and lighting and electrical design services. Additional services are outlined in the attached amendment request from Wade Trim, Inc.
Remaining terms of the agreement remain unchanged and in full effect.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
WHEREAS, a Professional Services Contract between Genesee County and Wade Trim was executed, pursuant to RES-2020-188, effective March 25, 2020, whereby Wade Trim would provide project management of the Flint Riverfront Restoration Project; and
WHEREAS, since that time there has been a refinement of the scope of services resulting in additional funds needed to complete the project; and
WHEREAS, the additional funds will be used for design contingency, grant support and administration, and lighting and electrical design services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Parks and Recreation Director to authorize amending the contract between Genesee County and Wade Trim, Inc., said amendment being necessary to increase the total contract amount by $1,094,500.00, to a total revised amount not to exceed $5,183,900.00, and to include the additional professional services to be paid from account 2088-770.32-801.028, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the March 6, 2024 meeting of the Public Works Committee of this Board), and the Chairperson of this Board is authorized to execute the amendment on behalf of Genesee County.
