BACKGROUND:
This Board approved an original contract with Dr. Larry Kage, D.O. in the amount of $29,500.00 to provide physician services for the youth at the Genesee County Juvenile Justice Center pursuant to reso# 24-672. The contract was effective October 1, 2024. This $10,000.00 amendment is required to cover the costs of additional insurance requirements and services required by State of Michigan licensing.
DISCUSSION:
This Board approved an original contract with Dr. Larry Kage, D.O. in the amount of $29,500.00 to provide physician services for the youth at the Genesee County Juvenile Justice Center pursuant to reso# 24-672. TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the 7th Circuit Court Family Division Administrator to authorize amending the professional services contract between Genesee County and Larry Kage, D.O., whereby Dr. Kage provides physician services at the Juvenile Justice Center, said amendment being necessary to increase the amount paid to Dr. Kage by $10,000.00 for a new total amount not to exceed $39,500.00 to be paid from account 2920-356.00-801.028 for the term commencing October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025, is approved (a copy of memorandum request and supporting documentation being on file with the official records of the February 19, 2025 meeting of the Governmental Operations Committee of this Board), and the Chairperson of this Board is authorized to execute the contract amendment on behalf of Genesee County.
