Authorization to accept a grant from Region 3 Homeland Security Planning Board for the purchase of 42 Stop-the-Bleed kits. The cost of these kits shall not exceed $1,999.20. This grant fully covers the cost of this purchase
BACKGROUND:
This grant will allow the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office to purchase 42 Stop-the-Bleed kits at no cost to the county. This purchase will provide Genesee County Schools with medical response equipment vital when responding to an active shooter or mass casualty event.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Office of Genesee County Sheriff to authorize accepting a grant from Region 3 Homeland Security Planning Board in the amount of $1,999.20 to be used to purchase 42 Stop-the-Bleed kits in an amount not to exceed $1,999.20, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the February 7, 2024 meeting of the Governmental Operations Committee of this Board), and the Chief Financial Officer is directed to record the attached budget amendment.
