BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Request for approval to enter a PO to vendor Stryker Medical for the FY24 in the amount not to exceed a collective (3 quotes) total of $129,711.24 from the various accounts as mentioned above.
BACKGROUND:
The Genesee County Sheriff Paramedic Division uses Lucas devices for chest compressions in a cardiac arrest. Devices once at EOL (end of life) need to be replaced.
DISCUSSION:
Stryker medical is a sole source vendor for this product; the 30 AED devices will be placed in County (Sheriff) vehicles and used across the County for lifesaving purposes.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Office of the Genesee County Sheriff to authorize a purchase order to Stryker Medical to purchase three LUCAS 3 Chest Compression devices, 30 automated defibrillation devices, three electrodes, three batteries, and service contract, at a total cost of $129,711.24 to be paid from accounts 2110-313.00-978.000 ($55,749.75 AED’S and shipping), 2110-313.00-752.000 ($896.40 electrodes and batteries), and $21,917.25 for the ProCare service, 1 year warranty, and 5-year service to be paid from accounts 2110-313.00-801.004 ($250.08 current FY portion) and 2110-000.00-123.000 ($21,667.17 Pro-Rated portion), is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the September 11, 2024 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board).
