BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval to enter a contract with Genesee Intermediate School District to provide violence prevention & intervention services for a term commencing October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025, in the amount of $65,000 to be paid from account 2920-664.00-801.001. The services are a part of the approved childcare fund plan & budget.
BACKGROUND:
Genesee County authorized an original contract pursuant to RFP #19-207 whereby Genesee Intermediate School District would provide violation prevention and intervention services for court-involved youth.
DISCUSSION:
Genesee Intermediate School District provides two evidenced-based programs; CHILL and Aggression Replacement Therapy (ART). The programs address prosocial skills and help the youth develop strategies to manage conflict in a non-violent manner.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the 7th Circuit Court Family Division Administrator to authorize entering into a contract between Genesee County and Genesee Intermediate School District, whereby Genesee Intermediate School District will provide violence prevention and intervention services for the term commencing October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025, in an amount not to exceed $65,000 to be paid from account 2920-664.00-801.001, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documentation being on file with the official records of the February 19, 2025 meeting of the Governmental Operations Committee of this Board), and the Chairperson of this Board is authorized to execute the contract on behalf of Genesee County.
