BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
67th District Court respectfully requests the approval of Amendment No 1 to the contract between Genesee County and Nationwide Interlock LLC.  The amended contract would commence October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024.  The total amount of the contract will not exceed $42,000.

BACKGROUND:
An original contract was entered into with Nationwide Interlock LLC effective May 17, 2023, with the option to extend the contract for up to four one-year terms.

DISCUSSION:
Nationwide Interlock LLC provides alcohol monitoring services for Genesee County Sobriety Court.  These services include electronic monitoring devices and vehicle interlock alcohol detection systems.

IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
None

IMPACT ON BUDGET:
The services provided by Nationwide Interlock LLC are funded by a Bureau of Justice Assistance grant and Michigan Drug Court Grant Program and will be paid out of accounts 2931-286.00-801.004 ($40,000) and 2927-286.00-801.004 ($2,000).

IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
None

IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
None

CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:

BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the 67th District Court to authorize Amendment No 1 of the contract between Genesee County and Nationwide Interlock LLC, said amendment being necessary to extend the contract until September 30, 2024, at a cost not to exceed $42,000, is hereby approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documentation being on file with the official records of the November 29, 2023, meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board), and the Chairperson of this Board is authorized to execute the contract amendment on behalf of Genesee County.
