BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Board approval and referral by the Health Officer to the appropriate committee of the Board of Commissioners.
BACKGROUND:
Resolution 2024-006 was approved on 01/24/2024. This request is to increase two of the program lines for medical supplies purchases as follows: 2210-608.02-764.000 - $10,000.00 & 2210-626.01-764.000 - $12,800.00, for a total increase of $22,800.00
DISCUSSION:
This is a request for increases on various program lines based on Resolution #2024-006. The vendors listed are members of the Minnesota Multistate Contracting Alliance for Pharmacy (MMCAP) or Apexus. The Health Department is able to purchase medical supplies through these vendors at a reduced cost creating cost savings
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There will be no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Listed amounts are within the Health Departments budgeted programs and/or received grant funding. There is a budget amendment in progress.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
Our facilities will hold patient appointments and provide services to the community.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There will be no impact on technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
By providing these services, the Health Department is promoting health & safety with the necessary services through programs including WIC, Environmental Health, and other Health Department programs.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Acting Health Officer to authorize an increase to Resolution 2024-006 for purchases to various vendors in the Minnesota Multistate Contracting Alliance for Pharmacy (MCCAP Infuse) including Binx Health, Control Solutions, Fisher Scientific, Forestry Suppliers, Global Protection, Grogan’s Inc., Hemocue, Hologic/Gen Probe, IDEXX, Krasity’s Medical, Maxpert Medical, Mckesson, Medex, Moderna, R&S Northeast/Rondo TopHoldings, Ryan Diagnostics, Sam’s Club, Stanbio Lab, Staples, TSI Industries and Zepto Metrix, in a total increase not to exceed $22,800.00 to purchase medical supplies for health department programs and clinics, said expenditures for FY 23-24 to be paid from the following accounts: 2210-608.02-764.000 ($10,000) and 2210-626.01-764.000 ($12,800) with no County appropriation required, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the April 17, 2024 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board).
