BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of the Judicial Administrative Secretaries Collective Bargaining Agreement

BACKGROUND:
The previous contract expired December 31, 2024 and new terms have been negotiated.

DISCUSSION:
Negotiations of new terms for an Agreement between Genesee County, Circuit Court and the Judicial Administrative Secretaries has been reached and is before the Genesee County Board of Commissioners for ratification.

IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
Implementation and administration of the terms and conditions.

IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Within guidelines budgeted for negotiations.

IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
N/A

IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
N/A

CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:

WHEREAS, Genesee County representatives have negotiated a proposed Tentative Agreement with the Judicial Administrative Secretaries of the 7th Judicial Circuit Court bargaining unit, the changed or additional provisions of said Tentative Agreement being on file with the official records of the February 12, 2025 meeting of the Governmental Operations Committee of this Board.

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the aforesaid Tentative Agreement as negotiated by the Genesee County representatives is hereby approved and ratified, the Chairperson of this Board is authorized and directed to sign the Agreement document for and on behalf of Genesee County, Michigan, and the Director of Administration is directed to deliver a copy of the Agreement, when signed by all parties thereto, to the County Clerk/Register, who is hereby directed to place a copy of the fully signed Agreement on file with the official proceedings of this Board.
