BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a request by Genesee County's Surveyor to appoint members to the Remonumentation Peer Review Committee for 2024 (Surveyor)
BACKGROUND:
This is the 32nd year of the remonumentation program. The annual grant program requires a peer review committee to confirm the work performed by contract surveyors and providing recommendations for resolving corners with conflicting or limited information.
DISCUSSION:
Each peer review member receives $150.00 per meeting. Meetings typically last 3-5 hours and historically there have been 3-4 meetings per grant. Funding from account number 2970-245.00-804.000.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the County Surveyor to authorize assigning six designated licensed professional surveyors to the 2024 Remonumentation Program Peer Review Board to review Genesee County Remonumented Corners as part of the 2024 Remonumentation Grant and as presented by the County’s contract land surveying firms, and to further authorize paying each member $150.00 for each attended meeting, to be paid out of fund 2970-245.00-804.000, is approved. The six appointees are as follows:
• Paul Brown, PSC, Rowe Professional Services Company
• Greg McArdle, Meridian Land Surveying
• Dave Kenny, Kraft Engineering
• Gill Bonno, Davis Land Surveying
• Mark VanRaemdonck, P.S Landmark Surveying
