BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of an agreement between Genesee County and Complete Corporate Solutions, in an amount not to exceed $85,000.00, to provide for Data Center Engineer services; the cost of this agreement will be paid from account 1010-228.01-801.004 (IT). This is an open position with IT that has been vacant for 18 months and we are actively attempting to permanently fill the position.
BACKGROUND:
IT has a critical vacancy in the Data Center Engineer position. We have had no success recruiting a qualified person for this role. We are attempting to bring a contractor in and expect to convert this person to a permanent full-time position once the 6-month contract is completed.

This will be allocated to budget line item 1010-228.01-801.004 and the amount will be $85,000.00. A budget amendment is attached which moves the funds from salaries (1010-228.01-702.000) to Contract Services (1010-228.01-801.004). The contract length will be 6 months.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Chief Information Officer to authorize contracting with Complete Corporate Solutions, Inc., (CCSI) for the purpose of purchasing consulting services to temporarily fill the vacant Data Center Engineer position, at a cost not to exceed $85,000.00 to be paid from the IT budget account number 1010-228.01-801.004, (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documentation being on file with the January 17, 2024 meeting materials of the Finance Committee of this Board) is approved, the Chairperson of the Board is authorized to sign the agreement on behalf of the County, and the Chief Financial Officer is authorized to record the attached budget amendment.
