BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) requests authorization from this Committee to approve a Purchase Order to (PO) US Foods for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-26 not to exceed $144,826.88 with a recommendation of approval by the full Genesee County Board of Commissioners at their next regularly scheduled meeting.
BACKGROUND:
GCCARD’s Head Start program and Nutrition Services programs utilize US Foods to purchase food and supplies. This vendor is a member of the Omnia Partners, a consortium which allows GCCARD to purchase food and kitchen supplies at reduced pricing.
DISCUSSION:
This purchase order runs from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, and is to be utilized by GCCARD’s Nutrition Services and Head Start programs to purchase food and supplies for FY 2025-26.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Director of the Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) to authorize an expenditure, in the form of a Purchase Order, to US Foods, at a total cost not to exceed $144,826.88 for food and supplies to be utilized by GCCARD’s Nutrition Services program and Head Start program, for the period commencing October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the September 17, 2025 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board).
