BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) requests authorization from this committee to approve a Purchase Order with Allied Building Service of Detroit for FY 2023-2024, not to exceed $34.500.00 with a recommendation of approval by the full Genesee County Board of Commissioners at their next regularly scheduled meeting.
BACKGROUND:
GCCARD utilizes Allied Building Service of Detroit for required weatherization services such as furnace repair and/or replacement, plumbing repair and water heaters to qualified Genesee County residents. GCCARD entered into a contract with Allied Building Service following the RFP Process RESO#20-232.
DISCUSSION:
Allied Building Service of Detroit has been providing required weatherization services such as furnace repair and/or replacement, plumbing repair, and water heaters to improve the homes of qualified Genesee County residents in the Weatherization Program under the current contract since May 1, 2021.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
No impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Funds are available in fund 2742-695.41-801.002 for $20,000; fund 2742-695.42-801.002 for $5,000.00 and fund 2746-695.41-801.002 for $9500. Not to exceed $34,500.00. No General Fund dollars are being requested.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
No impact on facilities.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Interim Director of the Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) to authorize an expenditure, in the form of a Purchase Order for Allied Building Service of Detroit for FY 2023-2024 Not to Exceed $34,500.00 with funds available in fund 2742-695.41-801.002 for $20,000.00; fund 2742-695.42-8010.002 for $5,000.00 and fund 2746-695.41-801.002 for $9,500.00 is approved (a copy of the memorandum request being on file with the official records of the November 8, 2023 meeting of the Human Services Committee of this Board).
