BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) requests authorization to increase Gordon Food Service Purchase Order (PO) #25-02781 by $147,368.64 for a total Not to Exceed $1,233,694.62, with a recommendation of approval by the full Genesee County Board of Commissioners at their next regularly scheduled meeting.
BACKGROUND:
GCCARD uses Gordon Food Service PO # 25-02781, previously approved by Resolution 2025-2276, for the procurement of food service products and supplies utilized by GCCARD's Nutrition Services and Head Start programs. This vendor is a member of Hospital Purchasing Services (HPS) LLC, which allows GCCARD to purchase products at reduced pricing.
DISCUSSION:
PO #25-02781 runs from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026. This increase is due to Round 1 (RES-2026-0343) and Round 2 (RES-2026-0726 pending approval) funding increases from Valley Area Agency on Aging for both the Home Delivered and Congregate meals programs.

IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Funds for the addition of $147,368.64 are budgeted and allocated as follows: #2731-697.15-762.000 increased by $36,142.00, #2731-697.15-765.000 increased by $1,517.72, #2731-697.16-762.000 increased by $58,275.00, #2731-697.16-765.000 increased by $1,000.00, #2733-697.15-762.000 increased by $40,433.92 and #2733-697.15-765.000 increased by $10,000.00 for total PO Not to Exceed $1,233,694.62 No General Fund dollars are being requested.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Director of the Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) to authorize an increase in the purchase order to Gordon Food Service (#25-02781) by an additional $147,368.64 for FYE 26, for a new total purchase order not to exceed $1,233,694.62, said increase being due to additional funding from Valley Area Agency on Aging, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the July 15, 2026 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board).
