RE: Approval to increase Resolution #2025-1771, for the budgeted drugs and pharmaceutical purchases with various vendors, in a total amount not to exceed $66,474.46 over the course of 24-25 fiscal year

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Board approval and referral by the Health Officer to the appropriate committee of the Board of Commissioners.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Department is requesting an increase on the previously approved resolution 2025-1771 due to an increase in vaccination needs. We have recently seen a large increase in both patients and prices.
DISCUSSION:
The vendors listed are members of the Minnesota Multistate Contracting Alliance for Pharmacy (MMCAP) or Apexus. The Health Department can purchase medical supplies through these vendors at a reduced cost, creating cost savings.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There will be no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Requested amount is within the Health Departments budgeted programs and/or received grant funding. The total increase requested is $66,474.46 on resolution 2025-1771 in account line: 2210-602.02-766.000.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
Our facilities will hold patient appointments and provide services to the community.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There will be no impact on technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
By providing these services, the Health Department is promoting health & safety with the necessary services through our Immunizations program.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Health Officer to authorize increasing the spend amount in Resolution 2025-1771 to a new total amount not to exceed $66,474.46, said increase being necessary to continue purchasing drugs/pharmaceuticals to be paid from account 2210-602.02-766.000, with no county appropriation required, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the August 13, 2025 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board).
