RE: Requesting Board Approval for the budgeted drugs and pharmaceutical purchases with various vendors, which will exceed $10,000 over the course of 23-24 fiscal year.

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Board approval and referral by the Medical Health Officer to the appropriate committee of the Board of Commissioners.
BACKGROUND:
This is a yearly request by the Health Department to be proactive in cost savings and time management. Last year’s resolution number was 2022-934.
DISCUSSION:
The vendors listed are members of the Minnesota Multistate Contracting Alliance for Pharmacy (MMCAP) or Apexus. The Health Department is able to purchase medical supplies through these vendors at a reduced cost creating cost savings.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There will be no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Listed amounts are within the Health Departments budgeted programs and/or received grant funding. Excel file with program accounts & funds requested is attached.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
Our facilities will hold patient appointments and provide services to the community.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There will be no impact on technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
By providing these services, the Health Department is promoting health & safety with the necessary services through programs including Family Planning, Immunizations, Environmental Health, STD Adult Clinics, WIC, Healthy Start, and various Health Department programs.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Medical Health Officer to authorize an expenditure and Purchase Order to ASD Healthcare, Curascript SD/Priority Healthcare, Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK), Merck, Mckesson, Moderna, Pfizer Inc, R&S Pharmaceuticals/Rondo TopHolding, and Sanofi Pastuer Inc., in a total amount not to exceed $1,002,500.00 said FY 23-24 purchases of drug and pharmacy products to be paid from the following accounts: 2210-602.02-766.000, 2210-602.04-766.000, 2210-606.03-766.000, 2210-611.01-766.000, and 2210-625.00-766.000, with no county appropriation required, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request being on file with the official records of the January 17, 2024 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board).
