BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Office of the Genesee County Sheriff is requesting approval for an additional FY 24/25 purchase order to Bunzl Distribution, Inc. for the purchase of janitorial and related supplies to be used within the Genesee County Jail in the amount of $40,000.00 as has been approved from budget line item 1010-351.00-752.000
BACKGROUND:
Bunzyl Distribution has been a long-standing, steady supplied jail janitorial and related supplies vendor with readily-available quality service and supplies at a cost-friendly rate that meets the needs of the Genesee County Jail day-to-day operations.
DISCUSSION:
Original requested amount for the FY 24/25 PO for $60,000.00 was underestimated. With 5 months left in the FY, that PO is now down to an available amount of around $7,000.00.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Office of Genesee County Sheriff to authorize increasing the purchase order to Bunzl Distribution, Inc., to provide janitorial and related supplies for use at the county jail for the remainder of the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025, in the amount of $40,000.00 to be paid from account 1010-351.00-752.000, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the May 21, 2025 Finance Committee meeting of this Board).
