BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a purchase order to AJP Commercial Shredding for FY 24/25, in the amount of $33,600.00 for the annual storage, file management and shredding services for the Genesee County Legal Records department

BACKGROUND:
This purchase order request is for the off-site storage of court files, maintenance/retrieval of off-site court files and monthly shredding of documents for the Circuit Court Legal Records Department.

DISCUSSION:
Services are provided for off-site file retention, retrieval and shredding of various court documents pertaining to civil, criminal and domestic cases.

IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
None

IMPACT ON BUDGET:
This purchase order is to be paid from the following account:  1010-280.00-801.004 - $33,600.00  A budget amendment has been provided in a separate request to Fiscal Services.

IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
None

IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
None

CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:

BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Director of Court Finance to authorize an expenditure, and a corresponding Purchase Order in the amount of $33,600.00 to be paid from account 1010-280.00-801.004, said expenditure being necessary for the services provided for the off-site storage of court files, maintenance/retrieval of off-site court files, and monthly shredding of documents for the Circuit Court Legal Records Department for FYE 2025, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the January 8, 2025 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board), and the Chief Financial Officer is directed to make any necessary budget amendments.
