BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Fiscal Services is requesting the attached budget amendments to update the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, budget.
BACKGROUND:
Periodically throughout the fiscal year, amendments are needed to align budget as additional information is available to determine projected actual costs.
DISCUSSION:
These adjustments are needed to adjust revenue and expenditure accounts to reflect actual activity for the fiscal year.

• Amending Count Appropriations to Actuals
• Amendments to District Court grants to match award amounts.
• Amendment to DTR budget for Demolition contracts, Foreclosure Outreach, and adjustments for current trends.
• Amending GCCARD Senior Nutrition budgets to match grant awards.
• Amendment to Sheriff VOCA and CVSF grants for updated award amounts.
• Veteran’s Services for current trends.
• Adjustments to various departments telephone budgets for Ring Central charges.
• Amending Drains for current year trends.
• Amending various Sheriff budgets for current trends.
• Amendments to Planning budgets to match awards and projected remaining FY activity.
• Amendments to accept awards in DR 26-404 and 26-420 for Federal reimbursement for the Latter-day Saints active shooter incident.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Chief Financial Officer to authorize multiple budget amendments to the FY26 budget, said amendments being fully described in the memorandum request, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the July 15, 2026 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board), and the Chief Financial Officer is directed to make the budget adjustments, as needed, to effectuate this resolution.
