BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission is recommending that the Genesee County Community and Economic Development committee provide approval for staff to begin the 63-day public comment period for the Genesee: Our County, Our Future Master Plan.
BACKGROUND:
The Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission has been working on the development of a County-wide Master Plan document over the last 18 months. The plan focuses on areas including transportation, community development, environment, land use, and progress towards county priorities. Staff has completed a draft version of the document for your review and comment. DISCUSSION:
Please send all comments, questions, and/or concerns to GCMPC staff at gcmpc@geneseecountymi.gov. Comments will be accepted from December 22nd, 2025, to February 23rd, 2026. There will be three public input events held during this period. Staff will review and consider all comments received.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLOVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Director of Planning to authorize approval for staff to begin the 63-day public comment period for the Genesee: Our County, Our Future Master Plan is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documentation being on file with the official records of the of the December 3, 2025 meeting of the Community and Economic Development Committee of this Board).
