BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) requests authorization from this committee for the addition of $113,900.00 to Purchase Order (PO) #23-05109, for a new grand total not to exceed $1,858,900.00, with a recommendation of approval by the full Genesee County Board of Commissioners at their next regularly scheduled meeting.
BACKGROUND:
The addition of $113,900.00 is being requested for Gordon Food Service PO #23-05109, approved via RES-2023-666, and shall be added to the following funds: $11,000.00 to Fund# 2734-697.20-762.000 and $400.00 to Fund# 2734-697.20-765.000 for the Summer Food Program and $100,000.00 to Fund# 2733-697.15-762.000 and $2,500.00 to Fund# 2731-697.16-762.000 for Senior Nutrition.
DISCUSSION:
This PO is utilized by the GCCARD Nutrition Services program to purchase food and kitchen supplies. This vendor is a member of the Omnia Partners consortium, a membership that allows GCCARD to purchase food and kitchen supplies at reduced pricing.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There will be no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Funds for this purchase order will be added as follows: $11,000.00 to Fund# 2734-697.20-762.000, $400.00 to Fund# 2734-697.20-765.000, $100,000.00 to Fund# 2733-697.15-762.000 and $2,500.00 to Fund# 2731-697.16-762.000. These funds are available in the amended Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-2024 budget.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
There will be no impact on Genesee County facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There will be no impact on Genesee County technology.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Director of the Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) to authorize the addition of $113,900.00 to Purchase Order #23-05109, originally approved via RES-2023-666, with funds being designated as follows: $11,000.00 to fund #2734-697.20-762.000, $400.00 to fund #2734-697.20-765.000, $100,000.00 to fund #2733-697.15-762.000, and $2,500.00 to fund #2731-697.16-762.000, said funds being necessary for the purchase of food and kitchen supplies utilized by Nutrition Services, with a new total not to exceed $1,858,900.00, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the August 14, 2024 meeting of the Human Services Committee of this Board), and the Chief Financial Officer is directed to make any necessary budget amendments.
