BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a Purchase Order to CMP Distributors, Inc. for the fiscal year ending 2024, in an amount not to exceed $19,862.90 for the purchase of ballistic vests for the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office; the cost for the Purchase Order will be paid from the following accounts: 2110-313.00-769.000 for $7,300.90, and1010-316.01-752.000 for $12,562.00.
BACKGROUND:
CMP Distributors, Inc. provides the ballistic vests agreed upon in the current collective bargaining agreement. These vests are level IIIA trauma vests that are concealable and able to be converted to an external vest if needed.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Office of Genesee County Sheriff to authorize a Purchase Order to CMP Distributors, Inc., for the purchase of ballistic vests, in an amount not to exceed $19,862.90 to be paid from account 2110-313.00-769.000 ($7,300.90) and account 1010-316.01-752.000 ($12,562.00), is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the February 7, 2024 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board).
