BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Fiscal Services is requesting the attached budget amendments to update the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, budget.
BACKGROUND:
Periodically throughout the fiscal year, amendments are needed to align budget as additional information is available to determine projected actual costs.
DISCUSSION:
These adjustments are needed to adjust revenue and expenditure accounts to reflect actual activity for the fiscal year.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:

IMPACT ON BUDGET:
• Amendment for DTR Transfer for Tower improvements in the Treasurer’s Office.
• Adjustments to General Fund budgets for current year’s activity and trends, including Board Office, District Court, Probate Court, Corrections, and Emergency Management.
• Amendment to Planning Commission’s budget for work on Bylaws.
• Amendment to Opioid Funds to support Specialty Courts approved in Reso 2025-2092.
• Amending Drains budgets to align with current trends.
• Amendment to Health Department budgets to align with grant activities.
• Amendment to Child Care Fund budget to align with grant activities.
• Amendment to capital project fund to align with current projects.
• Amendment to Health Services Millage for contract approved with Greater Flint Health Coalition under resolution 2026-0294.
• Amendment to ARPA budget to align with grant activities.
• Amendment to Accommodations Tax Fund for increase in FYE 2026 portion of contract approved with Flint & Genesee Group under resolution 2026-0297.
• Amending Motor Pool budget to align with current trends.
• Amending transfers out to the Self-insured Medical Fund. $2,702,000 was approved for the deficit elimination plan from assigned fund balance under resolution 2026-0240

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Chief Financial Officer to authorize multiple budget amendments to the FY26 budget, said amendments being fully described in the memorandum request, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the April 8, 2026 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board), and the Chief Financial Officer is directed to make the budget adjustments, as needed, to effectuate this resolution.
