BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) requests authorization from this committee to approve an amendment to the Nutrition Services budget to move $100,000.00 existing budgeted funds to a new account with a recommendation of approval by the full Genesee County Board of Commissioners at their next regularly scheduled meeting.
BACKGROUND:
GCCARD is requesting the movement of $100,000.00 presently in account # 2731-640.02-762.000 Supplies Food to new account # 2731-640.02-978.000 Equipment. GCCARD received ARPA funding under RESO #2022-173 in support of operations and equipment for the Nutrition Services Program.
DISCUSSION:
This request is being made to replace aged kitchen equipment at 2727 Lippincott Blvd. for the Senior Nutrition Program such as a freezer, a non-operational oven and steam tables. This will allow for continued services to Genesee County residents in the Senior Nutrition Program.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
No impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
$100,000.00 will be moved from account #2731-640.02-762.000 Supplies Food to account #2731-640.02-978.000 Equipment
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
Aged and non-operational kitchen equipment at 2727 Lippincott Blvd. will be replaced.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
No impact on technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
This memorandum conforms to Genesee County’s priority of Healthy, Livable & Safe Communities by allowing continued Nutrition services to Genesee County residents and Long-Term Financial Stability by replacing aged kitchen equipment.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Director of the Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) to authorize a Senior Food budget amendment that will move $100,000.00 in existing budgeted funds from account # 2731-640.02-762.000 (Supplies Food) to account # 2731-640.02-978.000 (Equipment), said amendment being necessary to replace aged and non-operational kitchen equipment, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the August 14, 2024 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board), and the Chief Financial Officer is directed to record the attached amendment.
