BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Allocation Committee is recommending approval of the following Community Development Program budget transfers.
BACKGROUND:
The following transfers are for projects that were completed and closed out with a balance remaining.
DISCUSSION:
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
No impact on human resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
HUD grant funds, no impact on general funds.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
No impact on facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
No impact on technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
To meet Genesee County’s priority of healthy, livable, and safe communities, Community Development Block Grant Funds can be used for a wide range of projects that improve safety, livability, and accessibility, particularly for low-to-moderate income households. Recaptured funds will be reallocated to other projects which may include housing repairs, public facility improvements, and public services.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Director of Planning to authorize Community Development Program budget transfers of $11,758.54 from the 2023 Clayton Township Infrastructure Improvements account 2340-704.16-899.000 to the CDBG funds account 2340-704.03-899.000; of $18,221.00 from the 2023 City of Swartz Creek Infrastructure Improvements account 2340-704.16-899.000 to the CDBG funds account 2340-704.03-899.000; of $91.85 from the 2023 Gaines Township Senior Center Operations account 2340-704.17-899.000 to CDBG funds account 2340-704.03-899.000; of $8,030.00 from the 2023 Vienna Township Public Facility Improvements account 2340-704.16-899.000 to CDBG funds account 2340-704.03-899.000; and of $2,833.44 from the 2023 Vienna Township Infrastructure Improvements account 2340-704.16-899.000 to CDBG funds account 2340-704.03-899.000, said transfers being necessary due to funds remaining after project completion, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documentation being on file with the official records of the November 13, 2024 meeting of the Community and Economic Development Committee of this Board), and the Chief Financial Officer is directed to record the attached budget amendment.
