RE: Addition of Learning Management System to Paylocity

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approve the purchase of additional features from our Payroll vendor Paylocity. Their Learning Management Module will serve multiple departments. The cost will be $36,840 annually.
BACKGROUND:
We have a need to distribute, track and audit trainings. A Learning Management System (LMS) is designed to do that.
DISCUSSION:
Paylocity is our current payroll vendor. Using an integrated LMS makes it much easier for the county to manage.

**FISCAL SERVICES will be adding a budget amendment and adjusting the appropriate account references in this resolution. *** A budget amendment is attached. IT Account 1010-228.01-933.001 will be used.

Minimal administrative overhead and security considerations will apply
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
Excellence, Integrity and Teamwork are core to the benefits of a centrally managed Learning Management System giving the ability of functional administrators to assign trainings and track their adoption. Long Term Financial stability is benefited by lower risk associated with a lack of standardized training.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Chief Information Officer to authorize purchasing 1,535 licenses of a learning management module from Paylocity in the amount of $3,070.00 per month, at a total cost of $36,840.00 per year, to be paid from account 1010-228.01-933.001, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents, including a budget amendment, being on file with the official records of the August 14, 2024 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board), and the Chief Financial Officer is directed to record the attached budget amendment.
